Castelli Cafe Returns and Warranty


At Castelli Cafe, we pride ourselves on offering a superior level of customer service befitting of our brand's prestige. We always strive to do our very best for every single customer who shops with us.

Here you'll find information on how to return unwanted items and make warranty returns. You can also skip to our warranty FAQs if you're not sure whether your garment qualifies for warranty repair or replacement.


Returning unwanted items

We are happy to offer a full refund or exchange on any items returned to us within 30 days of receipt for any reason provided the item:


Is in new, unused and unwashed condition
Has not been worn during any activity other than trying on (please do not try on items next to skin)
Still has all its tags and labels attached
Is complete with its original, undamaged packaging
Is returned with a completed Castelli Cafe returns form


Items that do not meet these criteria may be refused or subject to a restocking fee.

Please note that unless you are returning an item because it is not what your ordered or was not as described, you are liable for the cost of the return.

We recommend using a signed-for delivery service – we cannot be held responsible for items that do not reach us.


Returning for a refund

Provided your item meets the above requirements, please complete a Castelli Cafe returns form and return the item to us. You do not need to contact us prior to returning your item.

Please note that if your order total met the criteria for a free gift and if the return of your item(s) will result in that criteria no longer being fulfilled; the free gift must also be returned to us.


Returning for an exchange

In addition to meeting the criteria for unwanted items outlined above, we can only offer exchanges on like for like products – swapping the same item for another size or colour.

Provided your item meets the above requirements, please complete a Castelli Cafe returns form, indicating the item exchange required, and return the item to us. You do not need to contact us prior to returning your item.

Please note that in the event your requested exchange item is out of stock, you will be refunded for the value of the returned goods.


Returning items that aren't what you ordered or aren't as described

If an item has arrived that isn't what you ordered or isn't as described, you have 30 days to return it to us for refund or replacement.

Items to be returned must meet the criteria outlined above. Please email us at returns@castellicafe.co.uk before returning your items.

We will cover the postage cost of this return. We recommend using a signed-for delivery service – we cannot be held responsible for items that do not reach us.


Warranty returns

In addition to your statutory one-year warranty against faults in materials and workmanship, all Castelli items are covered by an additional year's extended manufacturer's warranty.

If you think your item is eligible for warranty, please contact us at returns@castellicafe.co.uk and include:

Your order number
An explanation of the fault
When the product first exhibited the fault (upon receipt, after first ride etc.)
Photographs picturing the fault


Returning within the first 30 days

Items that are damaged upon receipt, have visible manufacturing faults or exhibit a manufacturing fault after use are eligible for replacement, repair or refund (at your discretion) within 30 days of delivery, even if the goods have been worn.

We will cover reasonable postage costs for this return. We recommend using a signed-for delivery service – we cannot be held responsible for items that do not reach us.


Returning 30 days to one year

Items that develop a manufacturing fault between 30 days and a year of purchase are eligible for replacement, repair or refund (at our discretion). If you would prefer to keep your faulty item, you can request a partial refund taking into account the fault.

We will cover reasonable postage costs for this return. We recommend using a signed-for delivery service – we cannot be held responsible for items that do not reach us.


Returning one year to two years

Items that develop a manufacturing fault between one year and two years of purchase are eligible for replacement, repair or refund (at Castelli's discretion). If you would prefer to keep your faulty item, you can request a partial refund taking into account the fault.

Please note that you are liable for the cost of the return after one year from purchase. We recommend using a signed-for delivery service – we cannot be held responsible for items that do not reach us.


Returning crash damaged items

Items damaged accidentally or through wear and tear are not eligible for warranty or return, however we may still be able to help you through our Cafe-Premio Crash Replacement programme.

How long is the Castelli warranty?

Castelli products are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the date of purchase.


What's covered by the Castelli warranty?

Castelli products are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the date of purchase for the original purchaser. This means that we will repair, replace or refund (at our discretion) your Castelli garment if, during normal use, the stitching or seam fails, a zipper fails (i.e. the zip fails to do up or the teeth fail in use) or the Castelli logos become detached of their own accord (please note Castelli logos on shorts will weather with use and washing this is expected and weathered logos are not warranty but can be replaced at a small cost)


What's not covered by the Castelli warranty?

The Castelli warranty does not cover any defects due to damage caused by: accident; improper care; normal wear and tear; natural fading of colours and materials over time or with use; rips; tears; abrasion; holes; burns; or shrinking.

The most common sort of accidental damage is abrasion, where shorts or jerseys rub against saddles or items in pockets – this kind of fabric pilling does not occur naturally, is considered wear and tear and not covered by the warranty.


Why isn't wear and tear covered by the warranty?

Many Castelli of the garments we sell are exactly the same as those used in the professional peloton. They're fit for purpose: giving a performance advantage in racing situations where winning is more important than robustness.

For those of us not riding Le Tour – and getting free kit – they're easily damaged and can soon look scruffy if they're scuffed or touched with Velcro.

This isn't a manufacturing defect, it's a reflection of Castelli's level of obsession when creating cutting-edge high-performance apparel, which is why it's not covered by the warranty.

We offer a wide selection of non-pro inspired kit which, not having to go through the peloton's printing process, offers a more robust solution for everyday riding. Can I make a warranty claim regardless of where I bought my Castelli garment?

The warranty is valid only on items purchased through an authorised Castelli retailer, Castelli Cafe or castelli-cycling.com and is available only to the original purchaser with a valid proof of purchase.

If you purchase you Castelli garments abroad, or through a non-UK based retailer, you cannot make a warranty claim in the UK, even if the retailer is an authorised Castelli dealer in that country.

Castelli does not warranty any purchases made through eBay, Amazon or consumer resale sites. Castelli doesn't warranty counterfeit products so always choose an authorised Castelli retailer.


How do I begin the warranty process?

All warranty claims for Castelli garments should be directed to the retailer who sold you the goods.
